Wednesday Night Basketball Is Back for Term 3

Aussie Hoops from 4:00pm, local competition from 4:30pm, at Melville High School.

Wednesday night basketball returns this term at Melville High School, with two programs running back to back so there is something for every age and every level of experience.

Aussie Hoops runs from 4:00pm to 4:45pm for ages 6 to 10. It is a coached skills session built for beginners, so no experience is needed and most kids start with none.

Local competition runs from 4:30pm to 6:00pm for ages 10 to 15. Players are placed into teams and play games every week in a mixed, friendly competition.

What it costs

$85 for the whole term, which works out at just over $10 a week. You can pay it upfront or choose a payment plan during registration.

Registration is through Basketball Connect, which is Basketball NSW's system. If you have registered a child with any basketball club before, you already have an account — use the same login, and tap Lost password if you cannot remember it.

There is a BBQ too

Our BBQ runs on the night, on a gold coin donation, so you can grab dinner while the kids play. It is run by KBA volunteers and everything raised goes back into basketball in Kempsey.

New to basketball?

That is the point of Wednesday nights. Kids learn new skills, make new friends and build confidence, and plenty of them turn up on week one having never held a basketball. Everyone is welcome.
