The Kookaburra Cup is a schools basketball competition for upper primary and high school students across Kempsey. Play for your school, against your mates, on a proper court.

Primary and high school run on separate nights, so there is a place for every age group.

Four steps
Schools can enter a complete team. Students without enough players at their school can register on their own, and KBA will help place them into a team.

We confirm your division and let you know your first game.
Play four rounds
Two games every week across four weeks of competition.
Finals week
Week five is finals. One cup, and the school that takes it home.
Never played?
That is fine.
The Kookaburra Cup is for students who want to have a go, learn the game, represent their school and enjoy playing with their mates. You do not need experience, and you do not need a full team.
More than the basketball
Bring your family, bring your mates, bring the school. The Kookaburra Cup is a night out, not just a fixture.
Two games a week, real referees, and a finals night worth turning up for.
Music on court, and the BBQ and canteen running through the night.
Wear your colours. Bring a crowd. Represent where you are from.

Basketball Connect
Registration runs through Basketball Connect, which is Basketball NSW's system. If you have registered with any basketball club before, use that same account to sign up again.
Every team must supply its own jerseys. A manager and a coach are also needed, so sort those out before the first round.
