Committee Changes - Evelyn Jacobs

Mrs Evelyn Jacobs (Mrs J) has formally notified the Committee of her resignation from all roles and duties within Kempsey Basketball Association, effective immediately.

Over more than three decades, Mrs Jacobs has made an extraordinary contribution to basketball in the Macleay Valley. Her leadership, commitment, and tireless work have impacted generations of players, families, and volunteers across our region. At times, she carried the club almost singlehandedly, and her efforts during difficult periods—such as the Global Financial Crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic—ensured basketball remained alive and accessible in our community.

The Committee wishes to acknowledge and sincerely thank Mrs Jacobs for the many years she has devoted to our club. Her legacy as a long-serving coach and volunteer has left an enduring mark on Kempsey Basketball and the lives of countless young people.

As per her request, Mrs Jacobs has advised that she will be stepping away from all club activities and will not be participating in any further recognition or events. We respect this decision and wish her all the very best in the future.

We thank our members for their support during this period of change. As we transition into the winter season, our focus remains on supporting our junior competitions, preparing for the Kempsey Show fundraiser, and continuing to strengthen both our domestic and representative programs.
