Representative Program Summary

A quick guide for players and families. This covers the key expectations and commitments for the season.

Player Commitments

Attend two weekly training sessions and one conditioning session.

Let your coach know if you can’t attend. Repeated absences may affect selection.

Play in local competition and attend all rep weekends.

Show respect, professionalism and sportsmanship at all times.

Parent Commitments

Support attendance at training, games and travel.

Respect coaches, officials and players.

Avoid coaching from the sideline.

Communicate respectfully with coaches when needed.

Training & Games

Training: Be on time, prepared and ready to work.

Games: Arrive early, follow the game plan and play as a team.

Sportsmanship is expected at all times.

Costs & Travel

Season costs approx $500–$800.

Additional costs include travel, accommodation and tournaments.

Families may need to travel across the region for weekend games.

Financial support may be available through KBA.

Code of Conduct

Respect everyone involved in the game.

No bullying, abuse or discrimination.

Represent Kempsey Basketball positively at all times.

Be accountable for your behaviour and effort.

Social Media

Represent the club positively online.

No negative or disrespectful posts.

Do not share team information publicly.

Parents should avoid public criticism of players or officials.

Grievances

Speak with your coach first.

If unresolved, contact the Rep Coordinator.

Formal complaints can be submitted to the KBA Board.

Child Safety

All staff hold Working With Children Checks.

Report any concerns immediately.

Zero tolerance for bullying or unsafe behaviour.
